Egmont readies Pokémon 2018 Annual

Publisher bags UK and Eire rights to new title, due to launch on October 5.

Egmont is adding the Pokémon brand to its slate of annuals for this year.

The publisher has secured UK and Eire rights for the 2018 annual, which will launch on October 5, according to The Bookseller.

The title will include the Alola to New Adventure story, puzzles, challenges, statistics and facts to help fans decide which Pokémon will help them win their next battle.

There will also be an updated Pokédex.

John Packard, publishing director for brands and licensing at Egmont, commented: “We are very excited to be adding Pokémon to our slate of annuals for this year. As the number one annuals publisher we are careful to only select the very best titles in the market to add to our offering.

“Pokémon is a proven evergreen with fantastic potential and an extensive fanbase thanks to the enormous strength of the brand.”
