Fashion UK honours staff anniversary milestones

Long service awards given out to key staff celebrating ten years with the licensee.

Fashion UK has honoured a number of its staff who are celebrating ten years of working with the apparel licensee.

Ewa Sawicka (European sales), Rob Hall (head of production), Arun Duraisamy (logistics co-ordinator) and Pindy Kang (print room manager) were all awarded for their long service last month.

The award presentation was followed by a company lunch and speeches from the company mds about each of the employees and how they have helped grow the company into what it is today.

Paul Desborough, chief of operations at Fashion UK, commented: “Since the company formed in 1999, Fashion UK has had to deal with many issues that have had a direct impact on how we grow and develop as an organisation.

“From the financial crash of 2008, through to the Brexit vote and a myriad of consumer related fluctuations over which we have no control but to which we are all subject, Fashion UK has always had an incredible source of strength and resilience that we can always rely on and that is our people.”

Paul continued: “The Fashion UK family is extremely rich in experience, knowledge, talent and loyalty and this year sees us celebrating that loyalty and talent by recognising the outstanding contribution provided by a number of our team.

“We will continue to invest in our team to ensure that our customers are provided the very best service and our licensing partners continue to see Fashion UK as the partner of choice.”

Gurdev Mattu, md at the company, added: “This makes us realise that our experiences, in challenges, triumphs and progression, are what creates the family of employees who we cherish so much.”

A number of staff will also be marking 15 years with the company later this year – including Steve Thomas (sales) and Tracy Fillemore (head of the cleaning team) – as well as several others who will be hitting the ten year milestone.
