Number of new licensees due to launch products in 2018 across various categories.
IMG has renewed its global licensing deal with Ducati Motor Holding – and has a number of new licensees lining up to launch product this year.
Since appointing IMG in July 2015, Ducati’s licensed products portfolio has expanded across eyewear, watches, fragrance, technology, apparel, footwear and accessories categories.
A number of new licensees are set to launch products this year across a number of categories.
These include limited edition Locman watches; an international eyewear collection of sunglasses and prescription glasses by Mondottica; an apparel, footwear and accessories collection in India with online retail giant Flipkart; and niche high-end Ducati wooden balance bikes (pictured) in Europe and North America.
Last year saw Ducati launch its male fragrance ‘1926’, while a range of Ducati Corse-branded drones was unveiled in Europe.
Further afield, Ducati launched an accessories collection of backpacks, luggage, wallets and headwear in Thailand, and a men’s and childrenswear range in the Philippines. The brand is also launching an apparel line in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia in 2018.
Marcelo Cordeiro, licensing director at IMG, commented: “Following a hugely successful couple of years working together to expand Ducati’s range of products and geographic footprint, we are delighted to be extending our relationship.
“As a best-in-class brand synonymous with style, design and performance, Ducati translates seamlessly into a diverse range of lifestyle products all over the world.
“We look forward to continuing to build the brand’s portfolio in new markets and launching exciting new collections.”
