My 2017 Predictions: Alison Downie, HTI

We ask the global licensing and brand director for her trend picks for the year.

We’re now into February, and some of the key trends, brands, films and retailers to watch for this year are starting to make themselves known.

But what does the licensing industry itself think?

We gave them the chance to gaze into their own crystal ball and tell us their views on what will be the big brands and trends making an impact on retail shelves in 2017.

“2017’s big thing will be My Little Pony.

“The industry is going to be covered in ponies, and before we know it, key figures in the industry will become ‘bronies’ as the movie takes over!”
