Pitti Bimbo tie up revealed for The Powerpuff Girls

Event marks one of the first celebrations for brand’s 20th anniversary.

Cartoon Network has added another collaboration to The Powerpuff Girls’ roster – teaming with international children’s wear trade fair, Pitti Bimbo.

The event – which kicks off today (January 18) and runs until January 20 in Florence, Italy – marks one of the first celebrations of the brand’s 20th anniversary.

On display at Pitti Bimbo from today are a collection of The Powerpuff Girls ‘Mini-Me concepts created by well-known young designers, The Dots, I’m Isola Marras by Efisio Marras, Bad Deal and Core Sine Labe Doli – selected and coordinated by Italian fashion designer Alessandro Enriquez.

Each designer has created a capsule collection inspired by the superhero sisters, with items ranging from t-shirts and dresses to handbags and accessories.

The partnership builds on a strong line-up of global and regional fashion collaborations including Moschino, Fyodor Golan, Bizuu, Saucette and Raisa&Vanessa, which have created collections inspired by The Powerpuff Girls over the past few years.

Johanne Broadfield, vp of Cartoon Network Enterprises EMEA, said: “The Powerpuff Girls is one of the most enduring Cartoon Network brands of all time and continues to resonate strongly with fans across the globe.

“It’s also proved to be a brand that inspires designers and we’re excited to be partnering with Pitti Bimbo to cement the girls as fashion icons for 2018 and beyond.”
