Third series in production as hit preschool show welcomes first episodes from series two.
A third series of hit preschool show PJ Masks is heading into production, eOne has confirmed.
The news coincides with the first episodes of series two debuting in the US, with an international roll out planned from February.
The second series will launch on global broadcast platform, Disney Junior, France 5 in France and terrestrial channels in multiple markets.
Audiences will be introduced to new heroes and villains as Catboy, Owlette and Gekko are challenged with new missions that take them beyond the city and into new adventures.
“PJ Masks has become a hit preschool TV brand around the world so we’re delighted to be creating new episodes that will bring our trio of superheroes into new storylines and ignite the imaginations of its global fan base,” said Olivier Dumont, president of eOne Family & Brands.
“The consumer products launch has also been a huge success this year so we’re pleased that this fresh pipeline of content demonstrates our commitment to the long-term growth of the property and will inspire our licensing partners to introduce new product lines.”
The global licensing programme for PJ Masks boasts over 450 partners. Toys have spearheaded the consumer products launch, led by Just Play’s master toy line which launched in 2017. New lines are due to arrive this year to tie into the launch of series two.
