80 riders now confirmed and 18 sponsors sign up for next year’s challenge.
Response to next year’s Bristol to Dublin bike ride challenge in aid of The Light Fund has been phenomenal according to the organising committee – with 80 riders now confirmed and limited sponsorship packages remaining.
Next year’s ride – which takes place from June 12-15 – is aiming to raise at least £150,000 for the industry charity; more than doubling the most raised for a single event in its history.
80 riders are now confirmed to take part, with the organisers expecting it to be a sell out by Christmas.
There has also been a great response to sponsorship for the ride, with 18 companies on board so far.
These are:
- Gold Sponsors – The Entertainer, Licensing Source.net, Sambro and Universal
- Silver Sponsors – Disney, eOne, Mercis, Poetic Brands, Rainbow Productions, Sanrio, Signature Gifts and Smyths Toys
- Refuelling Sponsor – Bon Bon Buddies
- Associate Sponsors – BLE, Rubies, Misirli, Watermelon Creative and VMC.
A number of sponsorship opportunities remain including placement on the cycling jerseys and a number of packages for key supplies and services.
The organising committee’s Warren Traeger commented: “We have been overwhelmed with the interest, support and scale that this event has reached so far. With eight months still to go, it is the licensing industry’s most ambitious fundraiser ever and truly emphasises the broad and supportive nature of our community.”
