Smiley strengthens Selfridges promotional ties

Exclusive ‘happy’ champagne flutes launch for private VIP events; shopping app promo renewed.

The Smiley brand has further strengthened its ties with department store Selfridges, revealing a new promotion with the retailer and the renewal of its existing shopping app initiative.

Exclusive ‘happy’ champagne flutes are now being used for the retailer’s private VIP events, featuring the iconic Smiley on the bottom of the glasses stem.

The promotion has debuted at a host of exclusive UK events.

In addition, the promotion for the ‘Get Happy’ digital app – which launched in 2016 – has been renewed.

Smiley’s brand director, Daniel McGeehan, commented: “We are very excited and proud to enter into a new promotional partnership with Selfridges. The activation itself is perfectly suited for Smiley, as it cements our long-standing relevance as a social icon for positivity.

“We look forward to continue to build on our relationship with Selfridges to develop fun and innovative projects together.”
