Marvel heroes and villains are the subject of retailer’s new global t-shirt design initiative.
Having enjoyed success with its Nintendo t-shirt design competition for this year, Uniqlo is teaming up with Marvel for the 2018 initiative.
The retailer has joined forces with the brand owner to invite fans to design t-shirts based on Marvel’s heroes and villains.
Open until August 31, the winning designs will be made into tees and released at retail in summer 2018.
In addition to this, a grand prize winner and a runner up will be invited to a Marvel office tour in New York, plus a Marvel-hosted event for Avengers: Infinity War.
A cash prize of $10,000 will also be awarded to the winner of the Grand Prize, while there will be $500 for other prize winning entrants.
A host of Marvel characters are available for fans to use including Black Widow, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hulk, Iron Man, Jessica Jones, Loki, Luke Cage, Nick Fury, Spider-Man, Star Lord and Thor to name just a few.
Uniqlo will no doubt be hoping to emulate the success of the partnership with Nintendo. The competition attracted over 16,000 entries with the 25 winning designs unveiled in May.
