Amazon.co.uk reveals Christmas top sellers

Monopoly Fortnite, LEGO Harry Potter and L.O.L. Surprise all starring for retailer.

Amazon.co.uk has revealed its Christmas number ones of what the nation is buying ahead of December 25, with several licensed names proving popular.

The retailer has reported strong sales for Monopoly Fortnite Edition, LEGO Harry Potter Great Hall, L.O.L. Surprise Tots Ball Glitter Series and Spyro Trilogy Reignited for the PS4 (based on products purchased between November 1 and December 10).

The licensed names lined up alongside other products such as the new Echo Dot, Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote, Becoming Michelle Obama, The Ice Monster by David Walliams, Mammia Mia! Here We Go Again on DVD and the Yankee Candle Christmas gift set.

“Family fun is clearly the focus this festive season,” said Sam Lulla, Christmas marketing manager at Amazon.co.uk. “We’ve seen customers snapping up the latest games, books and blockbusters ahead of getting together with family and friends across the country.

“Perennial favourites including LEGO and Monopoly are proving popular with their latest releases, alongside the Echo Dot likely to appear under many a Christmas tree on December 25.”
