Animaccord inks its first publishing deal for New Zealand

Masha and the Bear licensed books will be launched in early 2021 across the country.

Animaccord has secured its first publishing deal in New Zealand for its successful Masha and the Bear property.

The company has joined forces with Beyond Reality Media to distribute a new range of licensed picture books across Aotearoa, beginning from Q1 2021.

The initial run will include two titles which BRM will distribute through its sales department and online, as well as local book distributors.

The preschool show is widely represented in the country – Netflix broadcast seasons one and two, as well as spin-offs Masha’s Spooky Stories and Masha’s Tales.

In addition, TVNZ acquired rights on all seasons including episodes of the new season five and the spin-off shows.
