B.O.T. and the Beasties readies for CBeebies debut

Ragdoll’s new preschool animation will air from Monday January 11; Brands with Influence managing licensing drive.

Ragdoll Productions’ new 2D preschool animation – B.O.T. and the Beasties – is due to make its debut on CBeebies from next Monday (January 11).

The new 50 x five-minute episodes will introduce preschoolers to the trials and tribulations of a loveable robot called B.O.T. (Beastie Observation Transmitter) as he discovers new worlds and all manner of new Beasties which inhabit them.

The series launches with a host of bizarre Beasties from five different worlds.

The licensing programme for the new show is being handled by Brands with Influence.

The show also marks the professional debut of four young animators and two layout artists recruited by Ragdoll Productions.

“It has been a privilege to work with these young animators and see how they have developed and contributed to B.O.T. and the Beasties over the life of the project,” commented Anne Wood, founder and creative director at Ragdoll Productions. “I believe it is so important to invest our time and support in young people as they are the future of our industry.”
