Beano unleashes mischief on Amazon Kids+ with new app

Beano – the world’s longest running weekly comic – has partnered with Amazon Kids+ on a wealth of original content including an exclusive Beano Bite app.

As well as the digital experience of the Beano comic, the content also includes books from the Dennis and Gnasher fiction series, published by Farshore, the CGI animated series and more.

The launch was supported by a month-long marketing campaign across both Beano and Amazon Kids+ channels, with an initiative designed to spark children’s imagination and creativity, nurture their love of reading for fun and entertain them with the iconic Beano characters.

“We are thrilled to partner with Amazon Kids+ bringing together Beano’s storytelling power with the engaging experience children have on Amazon Kids+,” commented Rob Glenny, head of commercial and new business development at Beano Studios. “We are able to entertain fans and reach new audiences with brilliant Beano content across a range of formats, so they can watch, read and laugh with their favourite Beano characters.”

Beano will be available to families on the World of Beano brand hub through an Amazon Kids+ subscription, and includes the weekly comic featuring selected Beano stories in an exclusive Beano Bite app; all 104 episodes of the CGI-animated TV series, Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed; fiction and activity books published by Farshore including Dennis & Gnasher: Battle for Bash Street School, Dennis & Gnasher: Little Menace’s Great Escape, Beano: Would You Rather and Beano: Joke Book; as well as the Beano Annual 2024, which celebrates 85 years of Beano.
