BLE makes key changes as it marks 20 years

License This revamped for 2018, show floor changes and new exhibitors welcomed.

Brand Licensing Europe has revamped its popular License This competition for 2018 – just one change for this year’s show as it readies to mark its 20th anniversary.

This year will see two winners of License This – one each for art and design and brands and lifestyle entrepreneurs.

The increased emphasis on the art and design and brands and lifestyle categories is also reflected on the show floor as, for the first time, BLE will occupy both the Grand and National Halls to bring all of its exhibitors together on one level, as originally reported by The Source last year.

Over 250 companies are expected to exhibit, with over 200 already confirmed.

Newcomers for 2018 will include Acamar Films, Larkshead Media, Blues Clothing, last year’s License This winner Ioguis and Infinity Lifestyle Brands.

There are also currently seven new art and design exhibitors.

This year’s theme is food and beverage, while returning initiatives will include the Licensing Academy, the Brands & Lifestyle seminar programme, the Product Showcase and the popular Matchmaking service.

BLE brand director Anna Knight, commentd: “It’s really important that BLE represents and supports the entire licensing industry and that we offer maximum discoverability, so all of our exhibitors and visitors can have their best show. We are confident this will be facilitated by having everyone on one level across the ground floor of the Grand and National Halls.

“We’re also excited about the reaction from expanding License This, which will result in two winners this year. Our 2016 and 2017 winners are both exhibiting at this year’s BLE, which shows what a valuable leg up the competition provides for start-ups.”

Registration is now open for the show at www.brandlicensing.eu.
