Gifting category bolstered with new collections from MeldHome and Moorcroft.
The Royal Horticultural Society is continuing to make in-roads with its licensing programme – with the gifting category welcoming new collections from a brace of partners.
The RHS has confirmed the expansion of the MeldHome range of gifts for garden lovers, as well as its availability in a wider range of retail outlets.
Launched in a limited number of outlets in 2015, MeldHome has now expanded the line to include a gardener’s notebook and flask, a garden sign, planters, magnetic pegs, a mug set, a bird box and tea towel set.
The collection is also now available from Waterstones, garden centres and a number of independent retailers across the UK, as well as RHS shops and online.
Zoe Mann, account director, MeldHome Hacche Retail, commented: “The aim of the RHS is to enrich everyone’s life through plants and make the UK greener and more beautiful.
“We believe our range captures this ethos and that its quality, along with the strength of the RHS brand, has been a driver in the growing demand for the range.”
In addition, art pottery specialist Moorcroft has signed to produce The RHS Rose Collection, featuring rose designs inspired by the RHS Lindley Library.
The six designs appear on vases, while the Scotch Rose design also appears on a coaster and a round ceramic plaque; The Sphere has a matching coaster; and Eglantine also comes as a framed rectangular wall plaque.
The RHS Rose Collection has been designed to complement a new RHS publication – The Rose, which has been written by RHS historian, Brent Elliot.
It is the latest collaboration between the RHS and Moorcroft.
Elise Adams, managing director of Moorcroft, said: “Our customer demographic – the collector who appreciates high-quality, British-made, handcrafted, fine art pottery and the botanical themes we often favour – is a great match with the demographic of the people who support the RHS.”
Cathy Snow, RHS licensing manager, added: “The RHS Rose Collection has been designed to complement the RHS publication The Rose. The six designs also stand out on their own as true works of art that many collectors will be thrilled to own.”
