Bulldog bags The World of Dinosaur Roar

Nurture Rights appoints agency to manage brand in the UK and Ireland.

Nurture Rights has appointed Bulldog Licensing as the new UK and Ireland agent for The World of Dinosaur Roar.

Bulldog’s initial category focus for the preschool brand will be on apparel, accessories, stationery and gifts, with the first merchandise predicted to hit retail from spring 2018.

The appointment of Bulldog follows on from the launch of the first books in a collectable series of The World of Dinosaur Roar by Macmillan’s Children’s Books, the official publishing partner for the property, and the announcement of Golden Bear as master toy licensee.

Rob Corney, group md of Bulldog Licensing, said: “The enormous promise of The World of Dinosaur Roar is clear from the two significant agreements already announced in publishing and toys.

“It has enormous promise in the market and we’re extremely excited to be working with Nurture – a truly innovative and forward-thinking company – in building on its success to date.”

Nick Barrington, md of Nurture Rights, added: “With licensing and retail interest in The World of Dinosaur Roar growing at an extraordinary pace, we were keen to appoint a licensing agent that could both manage and build on that interest.

“Bulldog has the wide-ranging experience, the contacts and, above all, the excellent reputation we required. We are looking forward immensely to working with Rob and his team.”

The World of Dinosaur Roar has been produced in association with the Natural History Museum, with all dinosaurs in the series having been verified and approved by Dr Paul Barrett of the museum’s Department of Earth Sciences.

All books and licensed merchandise will carry the NHM logo.
