Bright Blue Foods to produce cakes, while Dreamtex and Egmont deals renewed.
The licensing programme for preschool favourite Bing continues to build, with CAA-GBG and Acamar Films confirming a new cake deal and a brace of renewals.
Bright Blue Foods will create Bing celebration cakes, fairy cakes and traybakes for launch in spring 2018.
Carys Delve, marketing controller at BBF, said: “We couldn’t be more excited about working with the team at Acamar. Our new Bing cakes will be irresistibly delicious and will come with a large helping of fun.”
In addition, Dreamtex has extended its home textiles licence following healthy sales of bedding and fleece blankets, as well as the recently launched shaped cushions and wallpaper. Further new lines will arrive in 2018.
Egmont Publishing will also continue to develop its stand-alone Bing magazine, which launched in July 2016 and offers a collection of stories, activities and stickers.
The deals add to Acamar’s growing licensing programme for Bing, where toys, clothes, books, puzzles and games continue to drive strong retail success.
Laura Clarke, senior licensing manager at Acamar Films, commented: “We are delighted to bolster our UK licensing activity with these deals.
“Our relationship with Dreamtex and Egmont continues to deliver strong retail results, while BBF brings a fresh new element to our licensing programme, reinforcing our continual commitment to growth and expansion into new categories.”
