Care Bears beverage range to launch in the UK for first time

Global brand distributor, Unisnacks is launching the first ever UK beverage for Cloudco Entertainment’s Care Bears property.

The Care Bears Kato fruit-based beverages range was showcased for the first time earlier this month at the BBC Good Food Show Winter in Birmingham, with product set for sale across the UK from January onwards.

Kato is the number one fruit juice beverage brand in Thailand, blending the natural flavour of fruit with the chewy texture of nata de coco.

The range will include seven different flavours (strawberry, lychee, orange, mango, melon, peach, watermelon), with each flavour being carefully matched to a different Care Bear.

The licensing process has been managed by the team at Born to License on behalf of Unisnacks. Born to License was responsible for identifying the most suitable licence, negotiating the licensing terms, managing the approval process and looking after all other licensing aspects.

“Since the launch of Unisnacks, we have provided our customers with global brands which created excitement and market disruption,” commented Hyder Haniffa, ceo at Unisnacks. “We are delighted that this is the first beverage launch of Care Bears which was made possible by great partnerships. The Care Bears Kato range is well crafted to tickle the taste buds of our audience and will be a must-have for all Care Bears fans.”

David Born, founder and ceo at Born to License, continued: “We’re thrilled to see the exciting Care Bears Kato range come together, which will no doubt be well received across the UK.”

New flavours are already in the pipeline, with further additions to be announced.
