Eponymous line mixes hand-painted designs, block prints and Shibori collections.
Los Angeles-based designer, Simone DeSantis has made her first foray into licensing.
Simone’s eponymous line is a blend of hand-dyed Shibori, watercolours and block print mixed with hand painting.
The collections include a range of marketable themes such as florals, novelty, holiday, home/garden and hand lettering. Her designs are suitable for many product categories including textiles, home décor, tabletop, stationery, gift, and craft.
Simone has a background in design and merchandise, which she believes provides her with a solid foundation for art licensing.
“It’s been an exciting transition from merchandising/interior design to textile and surface pattern design,” Simone commented. “For years, I’ve always had to work with what already existed in the marketplace, but now I can truly express my signature style through my own designs.
“I love mixing different techniques into each collection to give it a more eclectic and hand-selected look.”
Electric Florals is Simone’s first fabric collection.
