Disney debuts Minnie-inspired Instagram

New social media account is aiming to celebrate character’s influence on fashion, beauty and pop culture.

Disney has launched a new Instagram account called @MinnieStyle, showcasing the character’s signature style and ongoing influence on the world of fashion, beauty and pop culture.

On top of this, Minnie Mouse’s style has also been celebrated at special events during New York and London fashion weeks.

A Minnie Mouse-inspired room featured as part of 29Rooms, Refinery29’s interactive funhouse in Brooklyn, New York, while during London Fashion Week, Disney and the British Fashion Council hosted the Minnie: Style Icon exhibition.

This was curated with the help of model and photographer Georgia May Jagger, bringing together photographs from the 1930s through to present day. These included archive imagery and sketches, celebrity portraits and fashion spreads.
