Disney films to be given Secret Cinema treatment

Multi-title partnership will bring immersive experiences to the UK and US.

Disney has partnered with Secret Cinema to bring some of its iconic movies to life.

The multi-title partnership will see Secret Cinema working with Walt Disney Studios’ StudioLAB to create immersive experiences across the globe, beginning with the UK and US.

The first show will premiere in London this year, followed by events in LA and New York, although there is no word yet on the films which will be adapted.

Secret Cinema has previously created an immersive experience for Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

“Working with Secret Cinema, we’re able to create a whole new way for fans to engage with some of our most loved films,” commented Matt Deuel, head of business partnerships at StudioLAB.

Secret Cinema is currently hosting a Stranger Things experience in London until March 1. A Dirty Dancing experience is due to begin in July 2020 at a secret outdoor London location.
