Disney powers in with new Captain Marvel range

New collection arrives ahead of the eagerly anticipated movie on March 8.

Disney has launched a new collection of merchandise to mark the upcoming arrival of Captain Marvel.

The movie – which will be the first from the Marvel universe to feature a female lead character – is due to hit UK cinemas on March 8.

Products will start rolling out to retail this month and include action figures, collectables, dolls and role-play from Hasbro, Funko and LEGO.

Fans can also dress up as their favourite character with Captain Marvel Hero and Captain Marvel Kree suits from Rubie’s.

The full range of Funko POP! figures also includes Nick Fury, while movie scenes can be recreated in LEGO with the company’s Captain Marvel and The Skrull Attack.

Captain Marvel – which stars Brie Larson in the lead role of Carol Danvers – is from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney has also put together a special featurette with Brie, and directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, describing the training involved to help transform the Oscar winning actress into the character. You can check it out below:
