Dreamtex celebrates its 10-year anniversary

Dreamtex recently celebrated its 10-year milestone in style with a fun-packed team activity day at the Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre in Brock, Preston involving curling, crazy golf, crazy pool and bowling, followed by a celebratory dinner at the Cartford Inn in Poulton-le-Fylde.

Reflecting on the past decade, Dreamtex md Anthony Duckworth said: “Wow, what a 10 years it has been for Dreamtex. Our company started as an idea over lunch and has grown to become a brand leader for licensed textile merchandise in the UK and trusted by many licensing partners to create products for their brands and characters that consumers love.

“We have seen quite a few changes over the last 10 years. We’ve become more agile, flexible and stronger since our launch back in 2012. Our brand portfolio has grown dramatically from just five licences back then, to managing many popular brands from high profile partners such as the BBC, Universal, Liverpool FC, MGA, Microsoft and many more. We’ve also seen changes in the way people shop, particularly during the last two years as online has become more prominent. We are passionate about supporting our retailers to maximise their licensed textile offering through great designs, holding the right amount of stock and being quick to market.”

Anthony continued: “Design and quality have always been important to us and now the sustainability of our products is held with equally high importance. A major highlight for us in the last ten years has been winning a Licensing International Excellence Award for our Repreve National Geographic range which was constructed with fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. We are constantly on the lookout for the next technological advancement in sustainable fabric to further our Dreamtex Earth action plan and have since launched a 100% Better Cotton Initiative sourced bedding collection in partnership with the BBC for Bluey. We are planning to launch new BCI sourced designs for other brands as well over the coming months.

“Throughout this time, our team have been so important to us and their experience has benefited us greatly. We are very grateful to them for their hard work and dedication. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the last decade and Andy, Jo and myself would just like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who have supported us on our journey – our brilliant colleagues both internal and external, brand and retail partners, suppliers and the whole licensing community who have believed in us since the very beginning.

“As we celebrate this significant milestone, we are eager to embark on the next decade of Dreamtex and continue to search out new licensing opportunities and hopefully more curling practice.”
