Farshore and Sanrio team on new Mr. Men Little Miss Discover You series

Farshore and Sanrio have teamed up to launch a new series from the Mr. Men Little Miss brand called Mr. Men Little Miss Discover You.

The series will focus on exploring children’s emotions, wellbeing and mental health. The first four books will launch this August, followed by six more stories in 2023 with more planned for the series in 2024 and beyond.

Mr. Men Little Miss Discover You: Try Again, Be Kind, Worries and All Different will launch next month as the first four separate stories in the empowering new series.

Families can learn about resilience from Little Miss Brave and Mr. Bump; the power of kindness from Mr. Happy and Mr. Mean; how to ease worries big or small with the help of Mr. Calm and Little Miss Sunshine; and how to appreciate and celebrate difference – whether that be Little Miss Tiny accepting her height or Mr. Tickle loving his long arms.

Both companies believe that the Mr. Men and Little Miss are the perfect characters to help children understand more about their own emotions and how to manage them.

“With the Discover You series, the characters of Mr. Men Little Miss tackle an important and still little debated but very relevant issue for today’s children, even the youngest: the difficulty of facing new emotions, which they still have to get used to and learn to manage correctly,” commented Silvia Figini, coo at Sanrio. “We are thrilled to be able to make a difference, not only by entertaining, but also by educating and improving the psychological well-being of many young readers, with the help of their parents.”

Alastair McHarrie, licensing director at Sanrio, added: “I’m thrilled that after over two years of hard work we are launching our major new Mr. Men Little Miss series Discover You. I’m sure that parents and children will love the stories, and they will be used to explore each personality in a fun and humorous way.

“Hopefully, they will also trigger conversations on how we can all feel day to day and become a useful tool in which children can openly talk about and understand their emotions.”
