Footwear brand Melissa takes wraps off Care Bears collection

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Care Bears, Brazilian brand Melissa has teamed with Redibra on the launch of a new footwear and accessories collection.

The range – which has already launched at Clube Melissa and Mini Melissa stores, the Galeria Melissa São Paulo, on the brand’s ecommerce platform and in multi-brand retailers – is also due to arrive for the international market.

Colours and elements from the animated Care Bears series have been used throughout the collection – which includes sandals and sliders for adults and children.

“We wanted to celebrate the emotional connection with our audience bringing generations together in an innovative way, with an interest shared between parents and their kids,” commented Raquel Scherer, general manager at Melissa.

In addition to the footwear, Melissa has also launched collectable keyrings featuring four Care Bears characters.
