New global launch dates have been confirmed for Disney+, with the media giant saying that the streaming service is expected to launch in most major markets within the first two years.
Disney confirmed yesterday (August 19) that Disney+ will launch in Canada and the Netherlands in tandem with the US on November 12, as well as arriving in Australia and New Zealand on November 19.
Disney Direct to Consumer and International also revealed it has reached global agreements with nearly all the major platforms to distribute the Disney+ app across partner mobile and connected TV devices.
Global distribution agreements are in place with Apple, Google, Microsoft, Roku and Sony.
In addition, Disney+ is also now live on social media with accounts on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
