Haven Global named Sesame Workshop’s Agent of the Year

2020 marks the agency’s 15th year representing Sesame Street in Australia and New Zealand.

Haven Global is celebrating after being named Sesame Workshop’s Agent of the Year.

“It’s a pleasure to announce Haven as Sesame Workshop’s Licensing Agent of the Year,” commented Will DePippo, director of Asia Pacific at Sesame Workshop. “We’re so proud of the work we’ve accomplished together in Australia and New Zealand over the past year – including taking home the Preschool Licence of the Year Award at the 2019 Licensing International Australia & New Zealand awards.”

Yvonne King, director of Haven Global, added: “We are delighted to receive this acknowledgement for all our hard work. 2020 marks our 15th year representing Sesame Street in Australia and New Zealand and we’re really proud of the results of our efforts to keep reinventing the local program to ensure it stays fresh and engaging for our consumers.

“It’s a testament to the brand and our relationship with the fabulous team at Sesame Workshop that we can still get so excited about it 15 years on.”

Haven Global wrapped up Sesame Street’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2019, with the 50 Years and Counting Art Exhibition that ran until the end of January 2020. 50 international and local street artists re-envisaged 50 Sesame Street characters as part of a four-week art exhibition held in Melbourne Central Shopping Centre.

The agency then brought the world’s first Sesame Street Circus Spectacular to life in partnership with Showtime Attractions. The national two-year tour kicked off at the end of 2019 and continued to tour into 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the tour was put on pause, but is set to re-launch in Q1 2021.

Haven Global also secured multiple family sleepwear programmes with The Warehouse and Big W, expanded its infants and children’s programme at mass and celebrated a joint venture with The Wiggles and master toy partner, Headstart International.

2021 will see a nationwide promotional programme due for release in February.
