HEAD expands licensing drive with brace of deals

Sports brand secures deals for new fragrance and drinks ranges.

The HEAD sports brand is continuing to expand its licensing programme, securing a further two deals for fragrance and sports drinks.

First up, Bohemia Healing Marienbad Waters (BHMW) has secured a multi-year deal to launch a new range of sports drinks under the HEAD brand.

The line includes still and sparkling mineral water, isotonic drinks and energy drinks.

“We have been for a while looking in the area of sport drinks to find an appropriate partner which has the experience and the ability to look into this category with an eye on innovation, quality, heritage and the will to create something special,” explained Giuseppe Faranna, vp and division manager for licensing at HEAD Sport. “Were excited to have the first little sip of the new line and can’t wait to see them on the shelves for example in sports centres.”

Meanwhile, Kredo Beauty will be launching a line of HEAD fragrances in India.

The ten different fragrances launch this month across all channels and include Eau de Toilette and Perfumed Body Spray for men and women. The name and fragrance of each line aims to evoke the values and assets of HEAD such as Match Point, Advantage, Ace and Game Point.

The deal was brokered by LicenseWorks.

Giuseppe continued: “We believe that the products are hitting the taste of the Indian market and that soon HEAD toiletries will be a piece-of-choice for people which are looking for a sports-inspired lifestyle toiletry product. We are excited and curious to learn more about this market and Kredo will help us to conquer it.”
