Host of licensed names win at Progressive Preschool Awards

That’s Not My…, Peppa Pig and Roald Dahl among winners at yesterday’s big event.

A host of licensed names were among those picking up accolades at the Progressive Preschool Awards yesterday (November 8).

Held at The Dorchester Hotel – and presented by comedian, Tania Edwards – saw some 400 retailers, licensors, licensees and industry executives from across the preschool sphere attend.

Arriving at the event – which was backed by headline sponsor Alpha Animation & Toys – guests were welcomed by Nickelodeon’s preschool favourites Chase and Skye.

Licensed winners included That’s Not My… range for Mothercare from Paul Dennicci in the Best Preschool Apparel and Accessories range category, while the Roald Dahl range from Penguin Random House Children’s won the Best Preschool Reading or Writing Range.

It was also a good afternoon for the Peppa Pig brand.

Ravensburger picked up Best Preschool Toy Range for its Peppa Pig puzzle and games, while Peppa Pig’s Muddy Puddles Walk with eOne was the winner of the Best Preschool Marketing and Communication Award.

Publishing director Rob Willis said: “We are thrilled that once again the PPS awards were a fantastic annual celebration of everything that is great in the preschol sector – and there was a lot of greatness this year.”
