Brand Development Manager, Brand Extension/Licensing  (Full Time / permanent)

Cambridge or London, UK


Stobbs are partnering with leading licensing agency, LMCA ( and are looking to hire a brand development expert into our licensing team. Ideally you will have a few years’ experience in deal-making and love searching out new business opportunities.

We have a great working environment and a very friendly and rapidly growing team of 180+ people, mostly working in our offices in London and Cambridge.

The majority of the role will involve:

  • Researching relevant industry categories and identifying appropriate potential partners (licensees) for our clients, who will typically be global brand owners
  • Creating compelling sales materials and approaching potential partners
  • Negotiating and closing license agreements, supported by the MD, Europe, and working with agency and client teams where appropriate
  • Managing ongoing relationships with licensees, monitoring performance, and providing regular progress updates to our clients


You would also be:

  • Contributing to all company activities, for example the identification of new clients, creating presentations and involvement in industry events
  • Collaborating closely with other members of the wider team as and when needed


We are hoping that you will be:

  • Great at building relationships and a good team player
  • Experienced in trademark licensing sales. If you’re not but have experience in other B2B sales or other relevant sales/dealmaking functions, we’re happy to hear from you too.
  • Self-motivated and tenacious in searching out the right partners for our clients
  • A strategic thinker with strong presentation skills


If you have previously worked with corporate brands, have international experience and/or you speak other European languages that would be advantageous, but it’s not a deal breaker.


Salary:    The salary will be a base amount plus commission.

Location: Your base will be either our Cambridge or London office, and we offer hybrid/flexible working.
