This is a unique opportunity to join an award-winning independent licensing agency and dynamic and collaborative team, working across a fantastic roster of entertainment, pre-school, lifestyle and special interest brands. The Rocket portfolio includes Beano, Horrible Histories, Rocky, The Elf on the Shelf®, Miffy and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Rocket currently manages licensing programmes for these brands and others, on behalf of leading entertainment studios and licensors including: Beano Studios; Hat Trick International; Kodak; Legendary Entertainment; Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (MGM); Scholastic; The Joester Loria Group/Eric Carle; The Lumistella Company and Toho.
The position plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the business. Responsibilities will include marketing duties such as creating brand presentations, administrative support in overseeing contract and deal updates, and regular liaising with licensees and brand owners to provide updates and support across the full portfolio of properties. As a self-starter, the candidate will be involved in researching and pursuing new potential opportunities for licensees and partnerships. The role will also involve event management responsibilities in coordinating Rocket’s presence at trade shows, most notably Brand Licensing Europe, as well as organising Rocket’s own corporate presentations and updates to the trade.
The right candidate will be a team player and an excellent written and verbal communicator. They will be personable, motivated & hard working, very well organised, with an eye for detail and a willingness to take responsibility and initiative. A proficiency in MS Office is essential, and previous experience working in licensing and/or brand management is desirable.
This fantastic and varied role will give the appointed candidate a thorough grounding in the fast-growing licensing industry, gaining experience across all aspects of the business while working as part of a small and supportive team. Gaining good exposure and opportunities to work and connect with best-in-class licensees and brands, the candidate will firmly establish themselves in the licensing industry and have the chance to develop their role further internally.
The position will be based at Rocket Licensing’s office in Vauxhall, London, three days a week, with two days working from home.
