Are you an experienced licensing professional who is passionate about bringing brands to new product categories, territories and retailers? As the Senior Licensing Manager for North America, you will develop and deliver a comprehensive consumer products licensing programme across all our brands to achieve triple-digit royalty revenue growth in our largest and fastest growing market. You will identify all appropriate product categories for Warhammer along with the best in class licensees and retailers for each – and you will tirelessly pursue every avenue to turn these opportunities into partnerships. You will also work closely with our existing licensees to maximize revenue growth whilst making sure that every opportunity is taken to expose Games Workshop’s IP to a new audience. Apparel, action figures, housewares, board games, gaming peripherals and collectibles are just some of the categories that you will be responsible for. You will identify and secure many more.

Day to day, you will be working independently as our sole US-based licensing representative and reporting to the UK-based Global Licensing Business Development Manager. You will coordinate your efforts with our UK-based global team, but take full day to day responsibility for the North American market. The ultimate goal is a comprehensive, global licensed consumer products programme that will put Warhammer products on the shelves of every relevant retailer. You will take full responsibility for implementing every step of this process in North America – from identifying leads, cold calling, attending trade shows (virtually as necessary), delivering pitches, negotiating deal terms and drafting contracts with our legal team. You will pursue all marketing angles with existing licensees and liaise with our own marketing team on their behalf.

You will do all of this whilst upholding Games Workshop’s reputation as a great licensor at all times.

As our sole person on the ground in North America you will need to be self-sufficient and personally driven, although you will have all the support you need from the global team. The ideal candidate will also be excited by the challenge of demonstrating just how much value our IP offers prospective licensees in a territory where it is less well known. To be successful in this role you will have: Significant experience managing successful IP licensing relationships (ideally at a Licensor or Agency) An extensive network of contacts at prospective licensees and retailers to enable you to hit the ground running Exceptional negotiation and relationship building skills Experience creating and delivering successful and compelling sales presentations and pitches Strong, up-to-date knowledge of the licensing industry and a vision for what makes great licensed product Experience of bringing a brand from niche to mainstream would be a huge asset Familiarity with the Warhammer brands is ideal, but not required.

Please note that relocation is not required, although you will need to be based in the United States.

This role will be home-based provided the candidate is able to travel as necessary (and safe) to see licensees and retailers and to attend trade shows. If they happen to live near Dallas or Memphis, they can access our office facilities there.
