Joe Sugg dances into The Amazing World of Gumball

YouTube and Strictly Come Dancing star lends voice to Cartoon Network show.

Cartoon Network UK is collaborating with YouTube and Strictly Come Dancing star Joe Sugg in an upcoming episode of The Amazing World of Gumball.

Joe has lent his voice to a one-off character in The Amazing World of Gumball: The Drama, which will air on Monday May 27 at 8am and 5pm on Cartoon Network.

He stars as Azrael, the super cool ghost of Carrie’s past, sharing in-jokes and history with the character much to the dismay of her current boyfriend Darwin and Gumball.

Joe filmed his experience at Fitzrovia Post on his GoPro and he has released it yesterday (May 20) to his 3.7 million subscribers on his ThatcherJoeVlogs YouTube Channel. This sits as part of a wider video where viewers can experience what a typical day in the life of Joe may entail.

Talking about the experience, Joe said: “When I was asked to be a guest voice in The Amazing World of Gumball, I jumped at the chance. I’m a huge fan of the show and cartoons generally and I love that this show has humour for all ages.”
