British footwear brand confirms latest collaboration with New York-based artist; also reveals plans for IPO.
Dr. Martens has revealed its latest brand collaboration, teaming with socio-political artist Keith Haring.
The British footwear brand said that the new collaboration will be a tribute to the US artist, whose pop art and graffiti-like work grew out of the New York City street culture of the 1980s. Keith, who died in 1990, dedicated his life to fighting for the oppressed and against convention.
The recognisable illustrations have been printed onto two original Dr. Martens silhouettes, reported Fashion United – the 1460 boot for adults and kids, and the 1461 shoe, detailed with two bright character lace charms.
The capsule collection will launch on January 22, exclusively at Dr. Martens.
Meanwhile, Dr. Martens could be listed on the London Stock Exchange by the beginning of next month. The company confirmed its intention to launch an initial public offering (IPO) earlier this month, with it hoping to be included in the FTSE UK indices.
