Licensee Insights: Cartamundi

We ask head of marketing and licensing Trudi Bishop for the licences she thinks will shine this year.

In a special series on The Source, we gather together some key licensees and quiz them on their top sellers and get their tips for the ‘next big thing’.

“Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory is expected to be a huge hit for us (and many other licensees) this summer. We have high hopes for our range – especially as we’ve added a rather clever extra dimension to our Finding Dory decks: we’ve made the cards waterproof. That means they’ll be perfect for the summer paddling pool – or the bath – for all the little ones.

“We also expect Star Wars to continue to be a big hit for us. Among our planned Star Wars output we’re especially looking forward to the arrival of our Stormtrooper collectible helmet.

“Cartamundi has also taken Subbuteo, the classic table football game, and adapted it into a fantastic fast-paced card game for all ages. Subbuteo is an iconic brand in the UK, and with Euro 2016 not far off it will be the perfect game for fans to take with them for their plane or train journey to (or through) France.”
