“It was the most extraordinary week that really saw us pull together”.
The limbs are beginning to unknot and the aches and pains are diminishing with each day, and our Light Fund cyclists are reflecting on the sheer scope of the challenge that they completed last week.
65 brave executives took on the epic 325-mile bike ride from Bristol to Dublin – and the licensing industry backed them in spades, with the total so far standing at £200,000 raised for The Light Fund.
This is the largest total raised by a single event for the industry charity – and this figure is likely to increase through the week.
As Sutikki’s Stephen Gould said in his final bike ride blog: “The Light Fund has achieved something really quite remarkable this week and the great and good folk of licensing at largesse have dug deep in their support for such acclaim.”
Ian Hyder, joint md of Max Publishing and a member of the Bristol to Dublin organising committee, commented: “It was the most extraordinary week and showed the camaraderie of the licensing industry in all its glory.
“This is reflected in the total money raised for The Light Fund – and that is increasing all the time.”
