LUSH builds on licensed portfolio with new Minecraft collaboration

Explorers, discoverers, builders and creators will have the chance to craft themselves an entirely new kind of experience this summer as the cosmetics retailer prepares to celebrate 15 years of Minecraft with an exclusive bathtime collection.

The new range of products – inspired by the blocks, mobs, and tools found throughout Minecraft’s Overworld and beyond – will land on the LUSH app, within LUSH shops and online at LUSH.com over the month of August.

Blending the digital and physical worlds together for a limited time only, fans will also be able to craft and use bath bombs in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition itself simply by downloading the free LUSH Bath Bombs add-on from Minecraft Marketplace.

The product line up takes inspiration from the game’s reputation for endless creativity, introducing a range of fragrances, colours, and textures to ‘invigorate, elevate, awaken fans’ helping them all to unwind and soak up ‘the blocky charm of Minecraft’ in the bathtub or shower.

“I have been a keen player of Minecraft for many years, I love how they have created a world building environment that is multi-generational and creative. I have played with my children and it’s become a part of my family home life. I love that LUSH now gets to bring crafting and world building to bath time to create an IRL experience for families and grown-ups,” said Melody Morton, LUSH Concepts creative director. “I love how the blocks we have created look like they do in the game and we had so much fun pairing our cult fragrances with each material. There’s even a chest you can stack your bath bombs into and the pickaxe will be a fan favourite, I am sure.”

The range makes use of LUSH’s trademark fresh and high quality ingredients sourced ethically from around the world. Produced by its skilled team of products makers, the range adheres to LUSH’s handmade approach to manufacturing form its HQ in Poole.

Hanna Willis, director of US consumer products at Minecraft, said: “Minecraft is excited to partner with LUSH as part of our 15th anniversary celebration and one of our first collaborations in the Health & Beauty category.

“LUSH shares in our mission to build a better world through ethically sourced ingredients and creative hand-crafted products. We hope fans enjoy crafting a moment of calm, whether it’s in the real world with the new LUSH collection or within the Minecraft game via the Bath Bombs add-on.”
