Minions, Jurassic World to takeover the kitchen

Uncanny Brands inks deal with NBC Universal for new line of kitchen appliances.

Watch out… as the Jurassic World and Minion brands are set to invade kitchens across the globe later this year, following a deal between Uncanny Brands and NBC Universal.

The new partnership will see Uncanny Brands – which was formerly known as Pangea Brands – launch a new line of kitchen appliances featuring key Universal properties.

June will see the arrival of a Jurassic World toaster, featuring a special burn plate that emblazons the Jurassic World logo onto toast.

In addition, a Minions toaster will also arrive in June – also with custom burn plate – with a Minions waffle maker following in September.

Future products will feature classic characters Shrek and E.T the Extra-Terrestrial.

The appliances – which were showcased at the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago earlier this month – will be available in the US, the UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.

Established in 2009, Pangea Brands is known for making distinctive toasters, popcorn makers, immersion blenders and other small household appliances featuring such licences as Star Wars (pictured) and the NHL.
