Moomin Characters and Moomin Arabia are partnering with EL&N to bring the first official Moomin afternoon tea to the UK this festive season.
The whimsical afternoon tea will be exclusive to EL&N Selfridges in London, and will run from 6-20 December.
Th limited edition afternoon tea will see a bounty of Moominous morsels inspired by Finnish artist Tove Jansson’s characters. The range of delicious treats will include a base layer of savoury Moomin shaped sandwiches, a second tier of Moomin inspired sweet treats including a Moomin macaron, and a top tier of mini pancakes using the official Moominmamma recipe.
The bespoke delights will be served on and alongside Fiskars Group’s line of Moomin Arabia ceramics, from plates to teacups, and even Moominhouse teapots. Inspired by Tove’s own artworks, the brand has been creating Moomin ceramics since the 1950s.

The limited edition afternoon tea is part of a new Christmas season for Moomin in London with the first ever Moomin circus show, Christmas Comes to Moominvalley, opening at arts and cultural venue Jackson’s Lane in Highgate.
