Moonbug Entertainment extends partnership with retail agency, Spotlight.1888

Retail agency Spotlight.1888 – sister agency to The Point.1888 – has signed Moonbug Entertainment to support the brands with their UK retail activity for 2023 and 2024.

The agency – which is headed up by Hannah Redler, director of retail for Spotlight.1888 and The Point.1888 – has been working to deliver CoComelon, Blippi and other properties at retail since 2019.

Working across the whole Moonbug portfolio including Coomelon, Blippi, Little Angels, Morphle and more, the agreement will see the Spotlight.1888 team continue to support and drive retail penetration and growth.

Spotlight will also be working hand in hand with Moonbug’s retail and commercial team on the overarching retail strategy and execution for each brand in the Moonbug portfolio. Spotlight will continue to manage the online and bricks and mortar activations, as well as DTR relationships.

Key to the success of the partnership to date has been the support given to licensees and retail buyers in the day to day planning and execution and so this will remain at the heart of the partnership.

With advance planning underway there are a number of activations and new product launches in grocery, toy, specialist and online retail already in the works to be revealed in 2023.

“We’re thrilled to be continuing the work we have been doing with Moonbug Entertainment,” commented Hannah. “Over the past few years, CoComelon and Blippi have been going from strength to strength at retail. Our role going forward is to work alongside the team at Moonbug to keep delivering exceptional products to their fans. We look forward to a very busy 2023 with our partners at retail.”

Ryan Gorman, global head of consumer products franchise and retail development at Moonbug, continued: “The Point 1888 have been a tremendous partner since our brands launched in the UK. We are excited to continue our relationship with their Spotlight division. Hannah and her team are best in class, and we are confident that they are the best equipped to represent our brands at retail in 2023.”
