New agency, Inkling Illustration makes its debut

The new agency represents some 13 international illustrators, with more set to join the portfolio.

Inkling Illustration has just launched as a new illustration agency, representing the diverse talent of some 13 international illustrators from the off, with more to join the portfolio.

The London-based agency has been founded by creative duo Jess Lomax and Fiona Kenny who have over 20 years of combined experience in illustration and client service, who are now on ‘a mission to set a new standard of collaboration and bespoke, agile service for both illustrators and clients alike’.

Jess and Fiona (pictured above, left to right) met in 2016 while working together at Bright Agency. As well as forming a strong friendship, an idea was sparked of building their own agency to do things differently.

Explaining more about the new business, Jess said: “Inkling Illustration was built to give artists and clients a better experience when connecting on creative projects. Fiona and I combine creative flair with exceptional client service to ensure we can provide amazing results on any project. We understand how to get under the skin of client briefs, and we really get to know our illustrators and their styles so we can create the perfect match, whatever the ask.”

As Fiona added: “Jess and I always knew we wanted to build something together, and the events of the past 18 months have put into sharp focus how precious life is and spurred us on to take the plunge. Each of us brings something different to the table, but it is our shared passion and friendship which makes Inkling so special.”

It is anticipated that diverse appeal of the talent represented by the agency will appeal to those involved in greeting card publishing, as well as book publishing, design houses and advertising agencies.

From launch, Inkling Illustration is representing 13 illustrators, including Berlin-based David Leutert, Spanish Mar Hernández, Natalia Rojas Castro from Columbia and Gerhard van Wyk in South Africa.

Fiona reinforced: “Our illustrators are the heart of the agency, so we really wanted to ensure that we built a community of artists from all around the world across a myriad of styles. Everyone we work with is hugely talented and passionate, and we love helping them turn that passion into their dream career.”

The full list of the illustrators being represented as well as examples of their work can be seen on the new Inkling Illustration website. They are Adamastor, Alexandra Wong, Ana Pérez López, Anja Sušanj, David Leutert, Gerhard Van Wyk, Jean-Michel Perchet, Katerina Voronina, Kim Roselier, Mar Hernández, Natalia Rojas Castro, Robert Sae-Heng and Ross Becker.
