eOne and Alibaba Pictures Group have joined forces for their first co-production which will mark Peppa Pig‘s big screen debut in cinemas throughout China. The property will arrive in theatres in the territory at Chinese New Year, coinciding with the 2019 Year of the Pig. Peppa Celebrates Chinese New Year will launch on February 5, 2019 and will include live-action and new animated content.
Bulldog Licensing has appointed Rainbow Designs to create soft toys and baby and infant toys for the That’s not my… property. The range will include soft toys, developmental toys and wooden toys, as well as gift sets and soft teether books.
Golden Bear has been appointed as the master toy licensee for Waffle the Wonder Dog. The show – by Darrall Macqueen – airs on CBeebies and launched in February with 30 11-minute episodes. Golden Bear’s toy range will launch in October with a Talking Waffle Soft Toy which features the show’s theme tune, Waffle Doggie.
IMG has secured a partnership with Refinery29 – the digital media and entertainment company for young women – to extend the brand’s presence through licensed consumer products initiatives. IMG will be exploring categories including health and beauty, apparel and accessories, office and home, bedding and décor.
ZAG Heroes Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir has welcomed two new licensees – global licensing partner, Ipanema Sandals, and Winning Moves for EMEA. Brazilian brand Ipanema will develop footwear for kids and adults – including flip flops – while Winning Moves will launch a Miraculous Monopoly Junior game for the 2018 holiday season.
Kedoo Entertainment has revealed a raft of licensing and distribution partnership deals for animated children’s how, Booba. The show began airing on Netflix in July, while season two is licensed to distribution partner, Monster Entertainment. Plus Licens has been appointed as licensing agent in Russia.
