Poetic Brands inks key Universal deal

Licensee to develop apparel lines for adults around some of studio’s biggest brands.

Licensed apparel specialist Poetic Brands has signed a major new agreement which will see it develop lines around brands from Universal Pictures’ stable of properties.

The company will create apparel lines for adults including nightwear based on some of the studio’s biggest and most enduring brands.

These will include Back to the Future, Jaws, Despicable Me, Trolls and ET, plus a wide range of horror classics.

“We are delighted to have signed this new agreement,” said Elliott Matthews, md of Poetic Brands. “Universal is one the biggest names in the film world, with a huge breadth of classic brands in its portfolio.

“We can’t wait to get stuck in with creating apparel lines that will tap into this rich history.”
