Primark is looking to bring some LA sunshine to the UK high street with its latest collaboration.
The fast fashion retailer has teamed with LA brand, The Stronghold for a new menswear capsule collection including clothing, boots and accessories.
The Stronghold was the first branded apparel to be manufactured in Los Angeles and was the only maker of denim and canvas workwear in the city before WWII, reported Fashion United.
It closed its doors in the 1950s before relaunching in 2004, with the garments again being manufactured in LA at The Stronghold factory with the same methods of construction as the originals. All of the rivets, washers, buttons, labels and fabrics are authentic reproductions of original items, based on the company’s archives.
The 29-piece Primark collection focuses on heavy duty fabrications, denim and textures. Key pieces include a borg jacket, denim shirt and jeans and leather boots.
“There isn’t a single piece in this collection that I’m not proud of and many of them are going to end up as part of my personal wardrobe,” commented Michael Paradise, founder of The Stronghold.
