Fast fashion retailer grows its footprint across Eastern Europe with new Prague outlet.
Primark has further expanded its footprint in Eastern Europe, opening the doors of its first store in the Czech Republic last week.
The Prague outlet spans 49,800 square feet across three levels and offers a range of fashion, homeware, kidswear and beauty items, reported Fashion United.
The ceo of the retailer, Paul Marchant, said that the Czech Republic was “another important market” for Primark.
Prague Morning reported that new licensed lines would also be available at the store, covering key Disney and sports brands such as Lilo & Stitch and NBA. The offer also includes a range of sustainable fashion under the Primark Cares brand, with a wide selection of products made from sustainable, recycled and organic materials.
“This is an important new market for the company as we continue to expand throughout Central and Eastern Europe,” said Maciej Podwojski, regional manager for Poland, Slovenia and the Czech Republic.
Primark is also planning to open its first store in Slovakia, while it has also confirmed further stores in Poland. A second store for the Czech Republic, in Brno, is due to open in 2022.
