Royal appointment for Sooty and Sweep

Characters make star appearance at special event to mark The Prince of Wales’ 70th birthday.

Classic characters Sooty and Sweep have made a star appearance at a special event, held in honour of HRH, The Prince of Wales’ 70th birthday at the London Palladium.

We Are Most Amused and Amazed – which aired last night (Tuesday November 13) on ITV – included a line-up of some of Britain’s most famous comedians, magicians and music artists.

After the performance, Sooty and Sweep also had the opportunity to shake paws with Prince Charles (pictured) as well as wish him happy birthday.
