Rubie’s aiming for Guinness World Record

Licensee looking to break record for ‘Most People Dressed as Superheroes’.

Rubie’s Costume Company will be attempting to break a Guinness World Record this weekend.

The licensee is a sponsor of the Bentonville Film Festival, which takes place in the town of Bentonville in Arkansas from May 2 to May 7.

Rubie’s will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the Most People Dressed As Superheroes at the Arvest Ballpark on Sunday, May 7 at 9am.

Rubie’s will be donating free superhero costumes as giveaways to the first 2,000 people to arrive at the park. The current record is 1,582 people from an event in 2010.

There will also be a free pet adoption stand at the event, sponsored by Pedigree. Rubie’s Pet Shop Boutique will have space in Pet Village and will also be giving away a free superhero pet costume to everyone who adopts a puppy during the festival.

BFF is an annual event that celebrates women and diversity in all parts of entertainment media, founded by actress Geena Davis and entrepreneur Travis Drinkwater.

The Guinness World Record attempt will take place just before the festival’s annual baseball game that will honour the 25th anniversary of classic film A League of Their Own.
