Scooby-Doo stars in Halifax’s latest campaign

Canine detective is the latest Hanna-Barbera character to star in ads for the bank.

The Halifax is continuing its partnership with the Hanna-Barbera characters, with Scooby-Doo and his pal Shaggy being the latest to star in ads for the bank.

The ad follows the same formula as the previous iterations with Top Cat and the Flintstones, with Scooby and Shaggy visiting a branch manager to find out how the Halifax can help them.

The duo escape the clutches of a mummy by racing into a Halifax branch in the latest TV spot, where they learn about its money back reward scheme, reports Campaign.

Cathering Kehoe, managing director, group brands and marketing at Halifax, commented: “The campaign is all about getting Halifax back to what it does best with advertising that gets talked about and engages customers.

“Scooby-Doo is such an iconic character and universally loved – the perfect character to demonstrate how we reward customers who bank with us.”
