Sweet deal as Swizzels reveals new licensee brace

Corsair and Brand of Brothers on board with confectionery manufacturer.

Confectionery specialist Swizzels Matlow – which includes well-known brands such as Love Hearts, Drumsticks and Refreshers in its portfolio – has bolstered its licensing programme with a brace of new licensee signings.

Corsair will be developing a range of toiletries and cosmetics, launching in time for Christmas, while Brand of Brothers will be creating ice cream and ice refreshments next year.

Blonde Sheep Licensing brokered the deals on behalf of Swizzels Matlow.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Swizzels Matlow across their range a brands,” said Terry Lamb, product development director at Corsair. “They have huge brand recognition and appeal to a broad audience which gives us scope to target multiple age groups.”

David Taylor, co-founder of Brand of Brothers, added: “The word iconic can sometimes be over-used, but in respect of our exciting new partnership with Swizzels Matlow, its use is totally justified.

“We, at Brand of Brothers are delighted to add such a famous and iconic name to our ice-cream and iced refreshment portfolio. We have exciting plans for a range of innovative products that embrace the well-loved and nostalgic fondness that consumers hold for Swizzels Matlow and their brands.”

Blonde Sheep’s Natasha Dyson is now looking at opportunities in categories including home, apparel and accessories, social greetings, stationery and food.

She commented: “Corsair and Brand of Brothers have exceptional experience in their categories, coupled with their genuine enthusiasm they will no doubt prove themselves to be fantastic partners for Swizzels Matlow.”
