Tetris brand extends 40th anniversary celebrations with new activations

Legendary puzzle game, Tetris is continuing with its 40th anniversary celebrations for the remainder of 2024 and beyond.

The Tetris Company has unveiled a line-up of new announcements, collaborations and events, so that fans can continuing celebrating the game’s milestone year.

“As we continue to commemorate 40 incredible years of Tetris, we’re excited to bring fans even more opportunities to engage with the brand in innovative and unique ways,” commented Maya Rogers, ceo at Tetris. “From immersive experiences and new game releases to unique collaborations, we’re dedicated to honouring the legacy of Tetris while looking forward to its future.”

Spin Master will be launching a range of Tetris-inspired puzzles and games including multi-player board games, puzzles, cards and more, all designed to capture the gameplay of Tetris in creative, tactile formats. The first wave of products will launch globally in autumn 2025.

Meanwhile, Outernet London – which is known for its huge 360-degree screens – is inviting the public to participate in the world’s largest interactive multiplayer Tetris game for free. Attendees will witness, larger-than-life, the iconic Tetriminos cascade across Outernet’s 23,000 square feet of floor-to-ceiling, four-story screens in the fully immersive, interactive showcase.

Comic, gaming and pop culture festival, Lucca Comics & Games will induct Alexey Pajitnov, the creator of Tetris, and Henk Rogers, co-founder of The Tetris Company, into The Walk of Fame. During the festival, which runs from 30 October to 3 November, Alexey and Henk will share insights into the game’s history, its impact on pop culture and their thoughts on the future of the Tetris brand with attendees.

Digital Eclipse will release Tetris Forever, the latest in its Gold Master Series on 12 November. Announced during a recent Nintendo Direct, the archival release includes over 15 playable classic games spanning four decades.

ARIKA, developer and publisher of the Tetris arcade series Tetris: The Grand Master, has announced it will release a new Tetris game, continuing the legacy of challenging and engaging Tetris gameplay for fans around the world. Available Q1 2025 on Steam.

Community-based streetwear brand, The Hundreds will release a new line of apparel merging the Tetris game’s imagery with its street style in November, while art and apparel company ILTHY has launched a limited edition collection.

APMEX will continue its successful collaboration, with Tetris-themed images on gold and silver coins, while Olympia Le-Tan will launch a refreshed collection featuring two new Tetris-inspired handbags in autumn 2025.
